Yoga Bio

"The best way to find your self is to lose yourself in the service of others."-Gandhi

Being a Colorado native, Lara was always drawn to an active and athletic lifestyle. She was introduced to yoga in a high school dance class and knew instantly that it was an intricate piece of her life’s path. She was intrigued and mystified by the complexity of the human body and the study of it's movement. The hunt for a meaningful carer geared towards self exploration and human experience through helping and healing, led her to massage therapy.

In 2006, Lara completed her studies with the 1000 hour certification at the Boulder College of Massage Therapy. Beautiful Boulder Colorado is where she currently resides and works as a massage therapist. While pursuing her career, Lara found yoga to be an amazing release and self care tool for longevity. Not only did it provide a physical rinse and release of energy but it offered a spiritual connection and created community. After being a student of yoga for over three years, she has been compelled to expand upon teaching. She completed the CorePower teacher training in 2008 and began masterfully weaving her experience as a body-worker and a yoga practitioner. Finding that the connection of yoga and massage was seamless and complimentary for not only herself, but for her clients as well.

Lara’s classes convey the depth that she has discovered within yoga that goes far beyond the physical asana practice. Lara creates a beautiful rhythm of meditation and healing by aligning the breath, and focusing the mind with the movement of the physical body.
